The Beaver Building System
Solid
full round log, double tongue and grooved, all surfaces round or
angled kiln dried prior to final machining.
The Beaver Building System is the heart of a Beaver
Log Home. This system creates a rigid interlocking wall that insures
beauty, strength and an energy efficient home. With this system
you will reduce the periodic maintenance needed with other log types.
Pine is the standard tree used for all Beaver Logs and are harvested
locally. Our Logs come in 7, 8, 10, and 12 inch diameters and lengths
up to 12 feet. Other Log sizes and species are available depending
on your needs and preferences.
Our Building Process
At
Beaver Log Homes we use the strongest type of corner in the industry,
which is saddle notching the logs. This gives the walls interlocking
strength and durability.
The Beaver Building also includes our unique spring
loaded through-bolts. The final machining operation is the drilling
of holes for installation of the through-bolts. The placement of
the holes insures alignment as the logs are layered. With the walls
erected, the through-bolt assemblies are installed in the pre-drilled
holes to complete the walls.
On the lower end of the bolt we install a heavy
compression spring to provide constant tension and eliminate the
need for frequent tightening of the bolts. The Beaver Building System
demonstrates quality, durability, and ease of construction.
